  • Maximum Speed: The national statutory maximum freeway speed limit is 120 km/h for cars and light motorcycles, 100 km/h for buses, and 80 km/h for heavy trucks over 9,000 kg.
  • Minimum Speed Limit (R101): Circular blue signs (e.g. 60 km/h or 80 km/h) command traffic in that lane to travel at or above the designated speed.
  • Overtaking on the Left: Allowed on freeways with two or more lanes flowing in the same direction, provided it is safe and unobstructed.
